Car Crash in Kidderminster

More details have emerged after a man was airlifted to hospital today following a collision involving two cars in Kidderminster.

The incident happened on the junction of Comberton Hill / Station Hill and the A451 at about 12.15pm in July.

Two ambulances and the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford with a Mercia Accident Rescue Service (MARS) BASICS doctor on board attended.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokeswoman said: “Crews arrived on scene to find two cars which had been in collision.

“The driver of one car, a man believed to be in his 50s, suffered a suspected head injury in the crash.

“Crews worked with the fire service at the scene to help extricate him from the car whilst he continued to receive emergency treatment.

“The man was anaesthetised on scene due to his condition and immobilised with a neck collar and spinal board before being airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

“No one else was injured in the crash.”
